The financial research literature has found that the performance of assets (and factors) can vary substantially across regimes (for example, see here and here)—factor premiums can be regime dependent.
A (fiduciary) advisor is recommending that I invest in the Blackrock Systematic Multi-Strategy Fund (BIMBX). Of all your writings on alternatives, I have not seen you mention this fund. Just wondering if you are familiar and have a view on it. Thanks for all that you do!
Might ask the advisor why he or she would recommend the Black Rock fund when it has almost no exposure to the factors targeting. You can see for yourself using the factor regression tool at portfoliovisualizer.com. Instead should use either QRPRX or QSPRX. IMO far superior.
